Generally I have been very pleased with the service from the surgery although recently two things have upset me a bit. On my last visit I needed an early appointment as I was going somewhere and booked a 9.10 am time slot, but the first appointment went in at 9.20 and I was seen at 9.50 which made me very late. There may have been a good reason for this but I wasn't made aware of it. In my experience it is always necessary to wait a considerable time for an appointment unless it is with the nurses, but later in the day you can understand the backlog. On my visit before that I was quite upset to be told by the doctor that I hadn't got a cough because I wasn't coughing at the time and if my knee hurt when I knelt down than just don't kneel down - it was like something out of a Tommy Cooper sketch. I was, however, given xrays (at my request) and there was nothing wrong so the doctor was obviously right (even though I was still coughing and bringing up phlegm for another three months.

Farley Road Medical Practice is great. The staff are all welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. I have always been very pleased with the care and service provided. The medical staff are obviously busy, but they always listen to me and explain their diagnosis and treatment. The link with the local pharmacy makes it easier for getting prescriptions. I am very happy to be one of their patients.
