Seen three different doctor regarding recent ongoing problems. Management plan initiated and started. s Had a second visit different GP as no better, not empathetic and dismissed my request for referral for second opinion, although she did this at my request but told me it would be rejected due to bloods being normal. I was informed by admin staff a few days later referral was refused, and to see doctor for discussion , appointment however 4 weeks time! Felt not been listened too and Decided to make private appointment myself due to my concerns. Felt no better so I made on day appointment only to find when attending that I had been re referred as some annomoly on bloods However not notified of this till my visit. Also further bloods ordered but again not notified by anyone so not done. However after my appointment privately I now have a management plan with the specialist and awaiting hospital investigation for this. My frustration is that there is no continuity of care by a doctor or even contact by phone, all you get is messages from admin staff relaying messages. When asked to see same doctor always an issue not available or cannot give follow appointments. As a patient and now retired medical person feel this system is not fit for purpose with no thought for the patient and their concerns . Relayed my frustration with last doctor I saw who listened but not sure this will achieve anything as only there occasionally as a locum.

Suggested improvements
More empathy, communication and the patient put first. As the patient you seem to be the last to be kept informed. More follow up by original practitioner regarding an ongoing problem and concern the patient has so we at least have some continuity of care with appropriate management plans put in place and time for discussion regarding investigations and tests carried out. If you don't hear from surgery all bloods will be normal!!! Is the only message you receive.no follow up appointments given !
