Just wanted to flag up a consistent issue we have found with prescriptions. My son and I have repeat prescriptions needed 1 or twice a year. For the past 4+ years we note that every time the duty Doctor makes a request for us to pick up the prescription it is NEVER ready at Lloyds next door. I have also noted when in the pharmacy the persistent frustration of customers arriving for prescriptions that aren't ready/available; this must be a daily problem for the staff, why has nothing been sorted in YEARS?? So yet again this week, I arranged with my Duty Doctor to pick up the prescription having spoken to her 1:30pm she said I could collect it on my way to the school at 3pm. Arrived at Lloyds, nothing there, no idea about the prescription. Went into the Health centre, yes, it was sent electronically at 1:36pm.... Back in next door to Lloyds, no we don't have it here.... Went to go back into the DHC which now has a queue 5 deep and I eventually had abandon my place in the queue to collect the kids from school... Ring up this morning, exact same thing. Lloyds still have no record, they have downloaded things this morning, mine not on there. DHC team claim it's been sent. WHAT NEXT?? I have spent over 1hr 40 mins sorting this and still no further forward and now I'm down 24 hours on medication. It embarrassing and frustrating and should not be even classed as a service. And to think the pharmacy is 20 paces from the reception desk....
