On the whole I am very satisfied with this surgery. My GP will always ring me back if I can't get an appointment and she sometimes rings me if recent tests, e.g.bood test need me either to come and see her or I need to increase/decrease a medication.
The weak point in this surgery is their prescription service. We now have to wait 72 hours to collect a prescription, even if done electronically, and this I feel is too long. On several occasions they have made mistakes in my repeat prescriptions, either the medication itself is wrong or the strength of the particular tablet required is wrong. As I have several anticonvulsant medications, this can be quite serious and I have to wait a further day for the correct medication. Mistakes have been made in other medications also. I have been with this surgery for over 30 years and it is only in the last four or five years that so many mistakes have occurred.
I have been very happy with the surgery since I came to live at Princes Risborough - since 2002. My doctors have been extremely wonderful, and the Nurses too have been very kind to me.
I have been registered with the surgery for 2 years, and have been allocated a GP that I have never seen.
I find getting an appointment is very difficult at times, particularly as I work full time and have to plan in advance.
I saw a GP recently who I visited about a very delicate matter, and she was running 30 mins late, so by the time I got in, she didn't really listen to me, and seemed as though she couldn't wait to get me out of the door. I felt as though I was better educated on my issue, either that, or she really wasn't interested. I felt extremely disappointed, and actually a little belittled at the way I was spoken to.
I won't see that GP again.
When I called the surgery, The phone was cut off 3 times then I waited a further 10 mins before the phone connected me to a receptionist. I decided to walk to the surgery, the receptionist asked me what they could help me with then took a phone call.
