I think relatively easy when really needed. I have had a mixture of phone consultations and in person appointments at the surgery when deemed necessary which seems to work very well.
I have been wiring for a neurology referral to be expedited and the GP did it but it somehow got lost and was never received. Its meant my ability to work has been greatly affected and all symptoms have worsened and incapacitated me at times
????
I’ve always managed to get an appointment on the phone, albeit sometimes had to wait a while, but with the new call back system it’s much better.
This was a telephone appointment so the positive was not having to travel in and having contact with lots of people unwell.
I worry about the future as I had to write to request an appointment to avoid taking up telephone lines that are mainly for emergency appointments.
As we age, changing systems do tend to isolate patients from support.
