Not being a regular visitor to the Doctors, I was unaware of changes to the open surgery in the mornings, to see a doctor. Apparently you now have to call anytime from 6am on the morning you are going to be ill to make an appointment. Upon my visit this morning I was told of this arrangement and in deed told that notices went up in the surgery, patients were emailed if they had left an email address on their records, notices had been put in newspapers in May 2018, which ones were they I wonder? (Having checked back to two local ones for last May and found nothing). I have a cause to see the Doctor once in a blue moon, I have paid my dues and some, over the years like so many, but when ever I need to see a doctor at this surgery I need to know in advance. The waiting room had two waiting there were 4 doctors on duty, it was just after 9am. Heaven knows what will happen if I ever need to see a doctor on a regular basis! The next time this surgery makes alterations to the way they work, perhaps they would like to inform patients the old fashioned way, send them a letter.
