Awful service received on multiple occasions since registering with this practice a year ago. I’ve been denied contraceptive pills due to having no record despite using a local NHS sexual health service for the initial contraceptive pills which resulted in me having to pay private online service for contraception which I didn’t get obs for and will not be on my medical records. I asked if I can ask the SH clinic to share my medical records or write that they prescribed it and I was told no. The SH clinic denied repeat prescription as I need up to date blood pressure reading but refused to book me in for an appointment and advised local supermarket pharmacies can provide it but they declined request for me to book appointment as I’m not high risk for blood pressure. Another occasion I rang and explained my concerns and asked for a blood test, waited 1 month to then receive a blood test for something else on my records that I didn’t request that was unrelated. I told the nurse I have a funny hot flush reaction following blood tests and the nurse could see my deterioration following the blood test yet hurried me out of the room to see the next patient. I had to lie across chairs in the waiting room dripping in sweat and no one came to help. I had concerns of a thyroid issue and broke down to the receptionist after waiting a month for the appointment and not being seen for this issue the nurse didn’t want to hear my concerns and symptoms. I was booked in with a paramedic a few days later to discuss. They advised a blood test is suitable but just need sign off from a doctor. I received a text the following day to say the blood test request is rejected with no opportunity to reply to a no reply text one way conversation. I rang reception to share my concerns and frustrations that I still have all these symptoms with no treatment or advice. I had to pay private for a blood test to then receive a call the following day saying they can do a blood test but I’d already by this time paid for a private one due to my symptoms. Most recently I was in severe pain and had a bad reaction to antibiotics, I rang and asked for an urgent appointment to be told they couldn’t see me quick enough due to appointment waiting times but contact a pharmacy for a “bad tummy” I hadn’t used these words to describe my symptoms and found this to be very condescending. When I asked what OTC medicine am I asking for the receptionist said she can’t give medical advice but won’t let me see someone who is trained? I then rang 111 and advised to go to an urgent treatment centre, waited 7 hours in A&E and turned out to have an infection and bad reaction to antibiotics which my doctors surgery absolutely fobbed me off about and refused to help. All in all this past year I’ve received the worst service from this practice had to go private to find solutions and spoken to in a condescending manor and have never actually been able to get in front of a doctor!
