Its taken a while to get things sorted with the doctors but thats due to the nature of my ailments. As a regular user of the surgery i find everyone helpful. The receptionists are polite and will always try to sort out your queries. I can only praise everyone at Bridge.

Almost impossible to get an appointment by phone or in person. Tried in person on 17th September 2015. Earliest appointment was 29th and earliest call back was 21st. I said I would call in the morning for an emergency appointment and was told they had been cancelled as well. So went to walk in clinic in Crawley town centre and was seen within 30 minutes (unfortunately this is closing at the end of September). One colleague in Horley phoned his doctor at 5.30 last night and had an appointment at 7.45 this morning. Another went to his surgery in Horley at 8.30 this morning and has an appointment at 10.30 this morning. I guess it is another post code lottery.

The main problem with the surgery ( which I have been a patient of for 26 years) is the unhelpfulness and sometimes rudeness of the telephone staff. I do bekeieve that sometimes they pick up the phone expecting an arguement about something before you have even spoke and forget that actually, generally you are dealing with some seriously ill patients. Some customer service training and telephone skills would not go a miss. Other than that, usually had great and efficient service from the GPs and normally get an appointment the same day if I manage to get through at 830. I would recommend to friends and family but the clerical staff need further training.

My concerns with this surgury are simple............if you can get past the gestapo on reception you are half way there.............once you get to see a doctor then on a few occasions I have felt as though I am an impostion to them....I feel my diabetes is not as serious to them as it is to me..........I was even told by a nurse that if I knew how much a vaccination cost I wouldnt ask for it

Problem - Doctors and staff spend a large percentage of their time, filling in form and attending meetings. The amount of time spent dealing with patients has decrease and yet the complexity of medicine has increased over the years. The government needs to cut out the red tape and let staff do what they are trained to do - look after patients.
