The message on the landline when booking a booster Covid injection is somewhat confusing and has changed since the original messages when the booster Covid vaccine became available. At first we had to book on a special number but the booking system also allowed us to do it either on the NHS app or the patient access service. Now the instruction is to hang on something or other to see what appointments available. you might be booked on more than one appointment day what date or time and just hang on until you’ve got one you want?

Messages need to be verified and understood by somebody who does not have the knowledge of how the system is intended to work.
