The appointment booking system is extremely difficult. In order to get an appointment I was told to call on the day as they do not book in advance. I called back on the day I required an appointment, I had to call over 20 times before I could get through... Once I had finally been answered I requested an appointment for the afternoon and I was told that they don't even book that far in advance and that if I required an afternoon appointment I would have to call back in a few hours. With the difficulty of getting through in the first place and the prospect of all of the available slots being filled before I could call back and get through in the afternoon, I was forced to leave work early in order to secure an appointment. This is an awkward system for all involved and does not help patients who have to work during normal office hours. I would suggest that this system needs to be reviewed.
