27th April 2015

I'm writing on behalf of my elderly parents in the 80s and both ill; - they are not on the internet so can't leave a review and why I, one of their three children who are most concerned about this practice are doing so instead. It seems someone has already left a similar complaint saying how appalling the surgery is in regards to trying to get through to make an appointment, - they tried 74 times! My mother can better this for she called non-stop from 9am to 5pm - over 80 times and yet never got through. My father, who is the one who is ill and in need of seeing a doctor as he has just come out off the local hospital and doesn't wish to return as he feels he has more chance of dying there than being made better. What a sorry state of affairs - what the hell is happening to our doctors? Our Hospitals? The staff? Why is it that no one seems to care anymore? Are the people working in these surgeries and hospitals not doing it for the love of the job? Because they care for people? Or is it just a matter of turning up for the money - so as they too can just survive? Where has the care gone? Where is their pride? Their compassion? Their self-respect? For there simply doesn't seem to be that much of it in these sad institutions and this clinic - for if there was - you wouldn't get people leaving such comments - like the other person has about their 74 phones calls on the 8th April 2015 and now me on the 27th April - with my mother not even getting through! They have booked a taxi for the morning so as my mother can attend the clinic and see if a doctor will come-out to see my ill father, that's all they wanted to do today - but couldn't. We will have to await the outcome, for as a family we are not happy with the way our parents are being treated and only wished we lived there and not in London to be able to have attended the surgery ourselves today. So as a deeply concerned family - we plead to the doctors and staff to start taking on board these types of complaints and to recognise you have a major problem and it needs addressing urgently. And so instead of having to leave these types of negative comments, which if left unaddressed will surely increase - as opposed to receiving positive ones of gratitude and thanks and which we would much prefer to be doing - but unfortunately cannot. Please, please, please can you make sure your phones can be answered within a reasonable timeframe and that if you cannot afford the staff to do so - then why not appeal for volunteers?
