Beversbrook Medical Centre
Beversbrook Medical Ctr, Harrier Close, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 9UT 930 reviewsReviews
I like the atmosphere of helpful, cheerful, friendliness which greets you as you enter the centre. The receptionists are all smiles even when dealing with serious problems...that cheers me up no end. The nurses are wonderful, very professional, very relaxed in their approach to patients. My doctor is good, very good.
I use a small scooter to get about and I find it a wee bit amusing to go to the front desk to just about peer over the top to speak to the young lady at the desk. I feel like peeking over and saying "BOO!". Being slightly deaf, and having trouble with speech, the lack of visibility means the person behind the desk has to raise their voice to ensure I can hear (and thus the rest of the waiting room), and I have to strain my weak voice to make myself heard.
I have no complaints whatsoever about the service received from this medical centre.
Always polite and have time for you, just a shame you have to wait to get an appointment with the dr of your choice, but if you don't mind who you see then it's not too bad.
I always find the surgery to be friendly and helpful. The medical staff have involved me fully in any treatment and have given me all the information I need to make decisions. I have always been involved in my treatment decisions and have been pointed in the right direction if i needed extra help or consultation.
There is a nice relaxed atmosphere in the waiting room with a radio playing. The radio is not too loud so that if you are in company you can talk without distraction. The waiting area is bright and cheerful with brochures on most medical information that you may need. All staff are friendly and helpful.
The car park is not very large but on the occasions I have needed treatment I have been able to park which could be down to the appointment times which in the main are generally not too far from your appointed time. Obviously sometimes waiting times are longer than anticipated but in my experience the receptionist has forwarned me when I arrived.
There is a pharmacy a very short distance from the surgery.
In my short time in Calne (3years) I have seen most of the doctors and have been pleasantly suprised and pleased with my treatment.
I have no negative comments regarding the surgery only that a bigger parking area would be better but given the restraints of the site realise this cannot be achieved.
I have complicated Medical problems and have always found all the doctors and staff, to be excellent in their efficiency. More appointment slots would be nice, and it would be lovely if Dr McClellan could be there more often. Overall, excellent in every respect. Any problem is always solved.
