Saw Nurse Pip on time, she was professional yet considerate and understanding and made me feel at ease. My appointment was dealt with in good time without being rushed and I came away with all the information I needed. In general I have nothing but praise for this practise and would highly recommend it.
Dr. Church was, as always, prepared to listen, was efficient, caring, and thoughtful. I could not fault his attitude,
The receptionist was welcoming and pleasantly apologized for the fact that the doctor was running a little late.
Since "one man's meat is another man's poison" where a choice of music is concerned, might it be better to remove the background music?
Thank you so much for your feedback and I am very pleased to hear your comments regarding Dr Church and my Reception colleague. I quite agree with regards to music being a matter of personal taste. We have found that BBC Radio Wiltshire is a favourite amongst most patients who say they prefer to listen to the radio whilst waiting. Obviously, we can't please everyone and hopefully our patients aren't waiting too long for it to become a problem. However, if you feel that the radio is a distraction and would prefer to have it turned off whilst you are waiting, please ask the Receptionist, who will be happy to oblige. Many thanks. The surgery should have an INR meter to better monitor those patients on blood thinner treatment to more quickly determine that their treatment is keeping them within their correct therapeutic Levels.
Dr Lazarus was excellent, I felt she listened well, was honest and respectful, and genuinely cares about getting to the bottom of my illness.
Both receptionists I spoke with were helpful and friendly.
The one thing that could be improved is the wait time for appointments with a GP and then a nurse for a blood test. I work away from Calne so I need this to be at either end of the day.
In summary, excellent standard of care and interactions with patients are very good. Ease of fitting appointments around a demanding work life could be improved. Overall, I'm impressed with Beversbrook Surgery, Dr Lazarus and the receptionists.
Thank you to them all.
Original appointment (which was booked weeks in advance) was slipped by 2 hours and then upon arrival was told running late. Had to sit for an hour before actually seeing the doctor. This was my first appointment, not a good start...
Hello there, I am sorry to hear that your first experience with Beversbrook Medical Centre was not a good one. This is of course regrettable and not up to the standard which we strive for. Sometimes clinics do run late due to emergencies or if a patient before you requires more than their ten minute appointment time but I am pleased to see that you were informed of this fact by Reception when you arrived. We audit our waiting times regularly and during the month of April our average waiting time is 11 minutes. We always look for opportunities to learn from patient feedback and I would like to investigate the problems you have mentioned here further. I would be grateful if you could contact me at emmybutcher@nhs.net to provide more detail and thank you in anticipation of your co-operation. Kindest regards, Emmy Butcher - Practice Manager 01249 821831
