I have great admiration and respect for the doctors in this surgery but the administration side of this surgery seems to be very laid back in arranging "urgent" hospital appointments, on two occasions I have had to chase them up as they seemingly until then had not been arranged.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear that you have had trouble arranging hospital appointments. Typically we don't get involved in organising urgent appointments as these are dealt with by the individual hospitals themselves, however I would be interested in exploring this further to see if there is something which we can improve on.
