I had a few occasions now that I needed to see a dr and I felt it just isn’t possible sometimes even if the problem is serious enough.One time my 4 year old daughter Was is agonising pain and hospital referred us to dr and only seen the nurse when we needed medication. Also today I was in a lot of pain and only in the afternoon was offered an appointment...when I was clearly needed to see a dr.There is a problem with the system to figure out who should see what type of practitioner.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback, which is really helpful for us. It's great to hear that you would recommend us to your friends and family and that you rate very highly our team here at the Surgery. I am sorry to hear that you have struggled to book an appropriate appointment to meet your needs and I would certainly like to speak to you about this in person to get more details. We have several systems in place to make sure that patients are seen by the most appropriate clinician and at a time to suit their needs. As we are not an emergency service, if you or a family member is in agonising pain in future, my advice would be to call NHS 111 who will be able to help you get the right medical attention urgently. They have fully trained advisers who are available 24 hours a day and can put you straight through to healthcare professionals and even liaise with us if they feel it is appropriate. Alternatively, for less urgent problems there is Doctorlink, our online triage tool which will also provide us with enough information to help book the right appointment to meet your health needs. For less urgent problems you can use your Systm Online service, to view a live version of our available appointments and we can even provide you with proxy access to your daughters account to make life easier for you.
