Trying to book an appointment here is an absolute joke! Forget trying to ring on the day because by 9:30am, the appointments that day have all been booked up. I know the surgery offer internet bookings but I have never gone online and found an internet appointment for that day so that's no help at all. The online booking system is a great idea if you know you want to speak with a doctor and plan an appointment. If you are ill on the day, you HAVE to go down to the surgery and wait until 9am to make your appointment with the receptionist, even though it opens at 8am!!!! I would like to suggest taking future appointments over the phone for alternative days as this would please so many patients. The receptionists are fine, but I feel they lack good customer service. They don't go out of their way to help you. In the past, I had to have an over the phone consultation which I think is disgusting - bearing in mind I needed to physically see the doctor about an issue and the staff explained that this is all they could do. I had to leave work and go down to the surgery and I demanded to be seen by a doctor. Low and behold, they 'squeezed' me in! If they just did this in the first place, you would have a lot more happy patients. I appreciate the staff have a lot to deal with but I would like to see some improvements fast as I have been contemplating moving surgeries.
