Extremely hard to get through to get an appointment. Practically impossible, when finally someone picks up they tell you to wait, after that you are told there are no appointments left for the day and when you want to make a full appointment, ''they don't have it on the system etc"" so you should phone in two weeks time. So basically going to the hospital emergency room is the easiest and more practical way. The time and nerves you will spend getting to see someone is not worth it.Receptionists are very rude and dismissive, for example, when phone to make an emergency appointment or full appointment, regardless, I am questioned as if she was a doctor and will decide for me if I need a doctor or not.So humiliating. I have been registered with other surgeries and this is the worst from all in terms of attitude and timing. When phoned to get an appointment for my son, was questioned again and when I described the symptoms, she said - and you need a doctor for that?I was persistent and thankfully we did go and see doctor cause kid had a severe ear infection. And this happens every time. I hope I will find a new surgery . Please avoid this place at all costs!

This surgery is not without its challenges. Getting through on the phone for an on the day appointment is a disaster - engaged for 20 minutes and when you do get through, you are put on hold for around 5 minutes and when you do manage to speak to the reception staff you are told there are no appointments left. Now this is an annoyance however we can but try again for a future appointment to be told it's wither 3 weeks away or there are 'none just now'! Added to the challenge will be the attitude of some of the reception staff who are rude and dismissive. Never see the same GP twice so complete lack of continuity. Had enough and now moving to another surgery.

Receptionists are unhelpful, they think they can make doctor decisions & attitude is terrible. Not a happy bunch, would give a £1 for every time the smiled & still save money. More training on people skills needed & I'm now looking for new surgery

Surgery is terrible been left in tears by the receptionist on more than one occasion Julie had an especially snappy tone...surgery and its staff should be monitored and reviewed I don't know how this place has any patients left every time you phone YOU as the patient ask for the wrong things and are Mia informed disgusting way to speak to and treat people especially vulnerable people I will be moving to a new surgery and would advise anyone else to do the same!!!

Process of getting an appointment is very challenging at this surgery, causing a peak of calls at 8am each day. This is especially difficult for elderly people apart from the time you need to call it is the sheer number of calls that need to be made to obtain an appointment. It feels that things are made to be very complicated and time consuming for no good reason as a patient. Reception staff are less than helpful and there are long delays in getting to see a doctor especially if there are repeat appointments with the same doctor as you enter back into the lottery of the daily phone calls and dealing with receptionist to actually book an appointment. This is my view as I have a direct comparison with my own doctor's surgery in the same geographical area where I find it so easy to get through, I am helped by staff who are looking to get me an appointment with great attitiude and overall easy process of booking an appointment with a GP. A review of how Baronscourt Surgery operates would be of benefit in my view.
