Share review of Ballater Surgery

As a new patient ringing in for an appointment, i was asked to give a reason for my visit , I said it was personal and i didn't want to reveal this to a receptionist but was told this was necessary or an appointment could not be made - this was the practice the doctors had ordered. I find this wholly intrusive, why should i explain my health problems to a non medical person. I find this to be really quite demeaning.
