#sayThankYou

Just to say a big thank you to the amazing nurse called Iona. She was so gently and lovely. Sorry to hear about her sister in law passing away. I dread this routine tests however she was so professional and caring that she put me at ease immediately. Iona is an asset to your organisation! Thanks Zara

The receptionists are kind and helpful, even under pressure from the piblic (who i have heard often being rude to the staff). If you contact the surgery early enough you can usually get either a face-to-face or telephone appointment the same day. The doctors are friendly and professional. I find them easy to talk to. They explain things to me if I ask them to and they don't make me feel rushed.

It is extremely difficult to obtain an appointment with a GP of nay kind. Waiting until midnight for system to flas out very few sessions which are snapped up within a nano second. It is not helpful obe has to try night after night Per receptionist, come along about 7 am to queue up is not a good option as one has to go to work. Reminds me of third world country for ration handouts. Also, per receptionist again, phone after 2 pm for appointment and after listening to 30-35 minutes of piped music , only to be told, all slots are gone. Or come up at 2 PM, again, one is working in London or elsewhere. It is unimaginable that in this era of advanced tools and software, a GP practice really is not up to its standard. If a customer of my company endures what we go through to book an appointment, the company will go bust quickly. So, Audley Mills, please buckle up and deliver services for which you are paid handsomely.

It isn't the doctors or the admin staff I have a problem with its the difficulty getting an appointment. Because it is so time consuming trying on the telephone, I registered online. It worked a couple of times then didn't recognise my (unchanged) login so I renewed it. This happened more than once, so I resorterd to the telephone again. After waiting for all the recorded messages to finish it ended by saying can't answer the 'phone at the moment ring back when the lines are less busy. I had rung at around 11.00-12.00pm. It's never less busy. As my call was also prescription related I called again and pressed 3 for prescriptions. After 22+ minutes the receptionist answered and said she couldn't deal with the request as I needed to see a doctor and she couldn't transfer me therefore I should ring to make an appointment. I explained I had already tried, I couldn't do it online and as I was incapacitated I couldn't get to the surgery either. So I was asked to ring again after 2pm. I've got to the stage whereby if I am unwell, I try ride it out, self medicate and do anything rather than go through that rigmarole each time. I've never been a time waster or a hypochondriac so when I request an appointment it's because I need one.
