Earlier this week I had asked at reception if someone could contact the Chemist I use to collect my Medication as he said I needed a review, as in the last few months I have had a blood test and discussed the results with Dr Ali of which the result was no change as all is well ,I had hoped that someone could pass this on. After receiving a text to phone the practice yesterday and ask option Four, I tried to phone this morning but gave up at about fifteen minuets as the waiting time in the Que was just far too long. So I drove down to reception but there was nowhere to park, the car park was full people were double parked, and people were sitting in the middle of the car park waiting for friends or family. I looked round the back and the were no spaces indeed people were parked on the grass around the edges of the car park. As there was nowhere on Irthlingborough road or in Castle St, I went home and walked down. I asked at reception what the message was and they said the Pharmacist wanted a review. I said I have had a review just recently with the Doctor and all is well. All that time wasted . If you contact people and ask them to contact you perhaps you should provide a system that is fit for purpose , the waiting times are totally unacceptable and this is not the first time it has happened. In a world where we all know everyone detests waiting on the phone more should be done to review the capacity of the system and update it. As it is a medical practice people want to know why you got in contact so they are even more inclined to wait longer as it is their heath that is in question. You take advantage of this in my view and it is total not fit for use
