Awful receptionists, seem to think they are medically trained and with an appalling attitude. Can never get an appointment even if you stay on the phone line for hours.

Never any appointments available, me and my son's have bad asthma and the asthma nurse only works part time. No appointments outside of work hours and when I walked in to get a repeat blue pump they turned me away.

I've recently moved to this area and registered with Douglas Grove Surgery only to find that it's Impossible to get an appointment. It can take up to 2 hours before they even answer the phone and when they do all of the appointments have been taken. They only have 2 doctors an yet they still keep taking on new patients. I'm now have to find another surgery without have ever seen a doctor from Douglas Grove which is shameful. You are wasting your time registering here so find a practice that has sufficient staff to cope with the demand.

I recently moved into the area and registered with Douglas Grove Surgery. I have been trying to make an appointment for several days. I ring from the time they open at 8.30 and bye the time the pick up (which can be up to 2 hours) all the appointments have gone. Had i have known that there is only 2 doctors at this surgery and the chances of getting an appointment are very slim i would never have registered there in the first place. Now without having seen anyone i'm having to find another practice which is shameful. They obviously can't cope with the patients they have so they shouldn't take new people on. I can only assume they get paid for each patient they have registered but the do the patients an injustice if they don't have sufficient staff to deal with the high level of demand. I would strongly recommend that you don't register here as the level of care for me has been zero.

Receptionist are so rude they need to go on a people skill course they think for some reason they are Drs , they let the surgery down because the Drs are great

This surgery is awful after the article printed a the Braintree and witham because a four year old child was turned away and told to come back a hour later after collapsing while playing football yet another four year olds mother as been told to phone back in the morning because they have no appointments ( it's 9.oclock in the morning ) even when the 111medical centre told her to take him to her local Drs . The receptionist are yet playing God again with children's life's

Since Doctor Salou has been at the surgery. Things have got better and better. What a great gp. He really does care, and listens to everything you say. We as a family feel very confident he will look after our health in a manner we all deserve.

I've been here nearly 2 years and every time which isn't much, I'm waiting over 45 minutes, other patients arrive after me and are see before me, I've completely dismissed my own issues due to the fact of sitting in this waiting room, breathing in everyone else's germs for over 45minutes. I have skin issues, medication issues, health issues, non smoking issues, I also take medication for depression which had never eased off, my daughter also suffers with eczema and had gone without an appointment or Cream for 2 months! 7the doctors are great, perfect at the care they provide, the only problem is you have to get past the receptionists which isnt easy soi no longer bother, rather to to a & e than even try there anymore, receptionists with a bad attitude really prevent me from contacting them again, in fact id go a far as saying th only reason im registerd there now is because i cant get my meds anywhere else, but considering buying my mental health meds from abroad online, th receptionists put me off

From the Receptionists through to Doctors and Clinical Staff the service they give is helpful and friendly, with good information. Medication adequate under NHS regulations. This practice offers many other helpful additional services, enabling patients to further help their own health. The particular Doctor I have seen at this practice has been very diligent in seeking medication that suits me
