I only took 2 pills 4 hours apart and was incapacitated. Unable to use computer or read, numbness in arm, could not tolerate light, dizzy and spaced out, balance affected, dry mouth, strange sensations in head, altered hearing. Tried to cook a meal, had to stop halfway through and lay down. Was unable to get up for 2.5 hours. Hideous experience although it did relieve my pain. Thank God I was at home when it happened.

I have been taking tramadol for about 15 years now for chronic back pain. I honestly could not live without it, it starts working in about 10 minutes and is the best painkiller I have tried. The only downside is it is addictive. But as I cant see myself ever coming off it, this does not bother me too much.

The withdrawal symptoms were a nightmare. . I would not have used it for so long knowing how bad the withdrawal symptoms are. The use of it was great for the pain from the operation but like I said the withdrawal symptoms is like going through hell..
