I had keytruda every 3 weeks for a year. After doing chemo and radiation.much better than chemo. Been cancer free for 4 years. I had nsclc stage 3. I had it in a lymph node also..I was in the first trial study in Omaha 5 years ago. Hopefully it's the real deal..

I have had Mesothelioma diagnosed 18 months ago. I had Pemextred and cisplatin chemo for 6 sessions 3 weeks apart which worked at first but my cancer mutated to become resistant to the drugs. I then went on a clinical trial taking oral chemo tablets of Rucacarib, which again worked at first then stopped. My disease was caused by breathing in asbestos fibres at work over 50 years ago and as such my solicitors have got an agreement for me to have immunotherapy privately, as the NHS do not give it for my complaint at present. I have had 3 sessions so far and and am feeling the benefits already and have had no side effects to speak of. I await my next CT scan to see if it is working how I feel it is in my body.

I am now into 8 months of treatment, and recently 'doubled up' to 6-week treatments, rather than every 3 weeks. I was considered as a 'trial' patient, but an early ct-scan found a secondary cancer/ tumour in my head, which I believe excluded me from the Trial - tho' the treatment, I believe, would have been the same. In next 6 weeks I will have an MRI scan which, hopefully, will show I am a good candidate to have my ( shrunken) head tumour zapped.. end of.. and I am informed that the primary chest cancer has also shrunk considerably. I have had absolutely no side effects while having this treatment..

I have stage IV lung cancer. Before starting this treatment I had a persistent cough which has disappeared. My only side affect is fatigue which I can cope with by changing my life style and slowing down, not a problem!! I just need to plan my time - not too much all at once . I am now having a few breaks away between treatments, just 3/4 nights away in the weeks between. It is doing me good to get away and no adverse affects.

As others have stated, if offered this treatment then take it. I am nearly finished my two year treatment and I have been hailed as a success by my team. I only have to suffer tiredness and fatigue, especially in my legs, my aching legs were apparent before my cancer was found, mostly due to heavy physical work so we cannot say whether the treatment has caused this. I had a tumor removed from my cerebellum. I have stage four lung cancer also in my back, pancreas and liver, all have been arrested. This treatment has kept me alive, I am almost 67. God bless everybody at Guys cancer centre, London.
