Paracetamol as far I’m concerned is the basic pain killer if you are strong minded this is all you need. But please take the advice of the medical professional in charge of you as you may need something stronger. I was lucky the pain I had prior to the operation ceased after the operation so my need for pain killers went away. The sooner you stop taking them the better I say but you do have to be strong minded.
