I was prescribed Metformin to treat Type 2 Diabetes, on the whole the drug worked, however the side-effects can take some getting used-to.
The main side-effects were, as with other reviewers, nausea. This can be overcome by taking the dosage with, or after food.
The other main side-effect was, initially, a reduced tolerance to alcohol. This lasted for the first couple of months, I'd advise avoiding alcohol all together while taking Metformin.
