I really don't feel qualified to recommend medication because, although Lansoprazole is effective for me, one cannot generalise. I have tried other similar medications which were definitely not effective also, diet and lifestyle needs to be taken into account. Another individual may find other products suit them better.

Taken for acid reflux, some improvement with taking it.

Constant gentle burping was diagnosed as reflux by the practice nurse and after consultation with the doctor Lansoprazole 30mg was recommended . I have now been using this product for about 4 years and have found it to be effective ,and in my case, free of any side effects. One coated tablet [ which dissolves in the gut ] is my daily dose.

This was one of many tablets that I take after a Heart Attack in March 2014. I have no side effects that are worth noting.
Profile
Lansoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Lansoprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
