In September 2020 a ceiling fanlight that I was adjusting fell on me when I was on a step ladder. The accident resulted in a fractured hip and I was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The very next day I received a new hip in an operation carried out by Prof. Malek and his team. Before the operation I emphasized that I was a fit person, and as a result I received a very high specification replacement joint. The experience of the anaesthetic was very comfortable and my recovery from the operation was quite rapid. I am now able to hill walk at my pre accident pace up to about a distance of 10 miles. In 4 days last week I walked 30 miles and I'm even able to jog. I now feel very fortunate in having received my treatment from Prof. Malek. Thank you.
