Professor Malek answered all my questions regarding my hip replacement at the initial consultation. He guided me through all the necessary steps involved in the procedure and described the differences, in the x-ray plot, between my good hip and the one that needed replacement. He was very easy to talk to and as expected was extremely knowledgeable. He informed me what the costs, as a self funding patient, would be. I was pleasantly surprised at how soon the procedure could be done, even during the Covid pandemic. The procedure went exactly according to plan and as a bonus I only spent two nights in hospital instead of a possible three. After the procedure Professor Malek and the anesthetist both checked to see how my recovery was progressing. I met Professor Malik on two further occasions, once to inspect and change my dressing and in a final consultation to discharge me from further medical intervention, both of these meetings proved what a success the procedure had been. My experience throughout the time I was involved with the Spire hospital could not have been better. Many thanks to all the staff and especially Professor Malek.
