I hadn't long been diagnosed with MS when I luckily found out about the Campath clinical study and contacted the team. At the time I didn't really know much about MS. I was very stressed about needles and having an IV just filled me with complete dread!! Alasdair was great.... He dealt with me just right and he was brilliant. He and the team would answer my questions at a level that I would understand and I learnt a lot about the condition from them. I can honestly say that I think if it wasn't for them I would most probably be in a wheelchair right now. That was nearly 13 years ago now and to look at me you'd never know I had it. I know this might not work for everyone and I am extremely lucky for many reasons.. Timing being one of them. Alasdair is the MS guru and what he doesn't know about it, isn't worth knowing. I can talk to him about anything that's concerning me and he's always been extremely helpful, understanding and a great listener. I know he is a consultant and bloody good one, but I also think of him as a friend. I don't think you can honestly say that about many consultants.. Thank you again Alasdair and the team....
