Ms Desousa is everything good about what a Dr/Surgeon should be. I was so lucky with the happenstance of being treated by her. Following my response to an invite for my 1st ever routine mammogram I was diagnosed with DCIS, requiring surgery. Within minutes of meeting MS Desousa I was immediately put at ease. She explained my position clearly and calmly, patiently waited for my fog of initial shock to abate then allowed me the time and space to ask any questions. The natural anxiety of surgery was significantly lessened because of MS Desousa's confidence and very obvious clinical expertise. All follow up to date, monitoring, care and support, by her and the team has remained as consistant as the day my journey began.
