When I first met Mrs Carmichael, she did her best to put me at ease despite the news and patiently answered my questions. She also reassured me that I could talk to her again if I needed to, which gave me great peace of mind.
On the morning of my surgery, Mrs Carmichael came to see me and she said that she would do her best as far as my request went for a flat result from the mastectomy. Although a mastectomy wasn't quite what I was expecting after my first mammogram, I am delighted with the surgery she performed and also with the way it has all healed. Mrs Carmichael was also very reassuring at my post op appointment and, again, very patient with my questions. Along with the rest of the team around her, they made a scary situation much easier to deal with.
