My right hip was severely damaged due to 10-years suffering from Ankylosing Spondilitis. Thus, I was referred to Mr. Zameer Shah by my Rheumatology doctor for a hip replacement. I had a very successful operation in May 2019 when I was 37 and the recovery went very well and speedily. I managed to get off the bed 4 hours after the operation and was able to go home the next afternoon. I only used pain killers in the second week after the operation at night to help with sleep. The first landmark was to say goodbye to my walking stick in July by following the Physio expert’s advice. Following that, more excitement took place: I started 2km jogging in September, Yoga in October and 5 km jogging in November. I feel very happy and healthy both physically and mentally.
