I was referred to Mr Shah through BUPA who had given me the run around for months ahead of the referral, so I was a bit dubious about the level of care I would receive and whether or not the problem would ever be resolved. I could not have been more wrong and was instantly put at ease by Mr Shah, who was the first person I had dealt with who actually seemed to listen and acknowledge what I was saying. He diagnosed the problem (a torn medial meniscus) almost immediately which was later confirmed by an MRI, arranged within a matter of days and assured me that I was not 'over exaggerating' the issue. He laid out the options (physio or surgery) and was completely honest about the results I could expect from each and which his recommended option was. I was talked through the procedure and expected results in detail and was absolutely confident in his care when I took the step to book in for the operation. This was arranged in a matter of days and I must give huge credit to Mr Shah's PA who is exceptionally communicative, friendly and efficient. A pleasure to deal with throughout. The day of the surgery went exactly as I had been advised and I was again completely at ease at all times with total confidence in the level of care I was receiving. I am pleased to say the surgery went smoothly, Mr Shah kept his promise of minimal scarring (he understand vanity concerns about having unsightly scars across my knee which was something I had been dubious about!) and the follow up care was faultless. I was back in the gym within a matter of weeks and am so pleased I had such an amazing consultant to guide me through the process and get me back to full fitness as quickly as he did. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and thank you again for everything!
