I contacted Mr Shah privately after seven months of knee pain, several weeks of lockdown and an inevitable lack of progress with an NHS referral. Probably one of the best decisions I have made. His PA, Aamira quickly arranged for X-rays and MRI scans to be undertaken, which Mr Shah clearly explained to me and surgery to repair a damaged meniscus and related issues was arranged soon afterwards. Six weeks after surgery and following two follow up consultations I am back walking normally and pain free. The care and attention I received from him and his team were second to none.
My only dissatisfaction with the process was being referred to a private clinic in Enfield for a weight bearing X-ray. Apparently there is no private provider of weight bearing X-rays in London, so I had to travel to a mobile unit in Southhampton. Fotunately I am retired and drive an automatic so I was not unduly inconvenienced.
