The initial consultation with Mr Naqui was very informative about the Dupuytrens condition and the process of the fasciectomy and I felt reassured that it would be worth having the surgery done. On the 2nd February I had the Dupuytrens fasciectomy on my right little finger which was permanently bent. I am very pleased with the results and my finger is now almost straight and moves well from straight to a tight fist. I had 4 visits to Lindsey, a hand therapist, who managed the wound took the stitches out ,provided exercises and made a splint for overnight. She worked on the scar tissue and movement. She was excellent and I feel her therapy has been an essential part of the recovery and success of my fasciectomy.
