I was referred to Mr Naqui at the Spire Manchester in January 2022. I was suffering from intense pain in my right thumb and was unable to use my hand properly. After xrays he told me that the cartilage between one of the joints on my thumb was completely worn away causing this pain. He explained all the processes that could be used to treat this and I agreed to have the joint replaced ( CMCJ Touch Arthroplasty) I was treated ,firstly by the team of Physios, to build up the strength in my hand and they were very professional, friendly and always available for any questions that I had. I had the operation at the Spire in May 2022 and everyone was caring and looked after me very well. After the operation I had a long course of physio to regain the use of my thumb and once more the staff were great. I now have complete mobility in my hand and can undo lids,grip the steering wheel and carry shopping,things I couldn't do before the op. Throughout the course of this treatment Mr Naqui has been amazing. Always explaining every step of the process, friendly, empathetic and extremely professional. His secretary Donna is also fantastic. She always gets back to me quickly if I leave a message and is a joy to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Naqui and his team to anyone with hand problems and especially to people with joint problems like mine. The operation has made my life so much better.
