In August 2016 I had a proximal row carpectomy and osteochondral graft to capitate on my right wrist due to advanced osteoarthritis. I was in Whipps Cross and Mr Wissam Al-Hakim did my operation. He explained what he was going to do without rushing. He takes time to answer any questions and puts you at ease. He is a considerate man and an amazing surgeon. My hand was very painful after the operation but not as bad as I thought. I had a splint on for 10 days and then stitches out. The operation was very successful and I have no pain now, whereas, my thumb was very painful especially if I accidentally knocked it. I cannot thank him and his team enough. I might have to have my other hand done at some time but will not be nervous now as I know what to expect when Mr Wissam Al-Hakim does the operation. I highly recommend this amazing surgeon.
