From time of an initial consultation with Mr Kim in October, until surgery in November and a follow-up review in Jan 2024 I was impressed with the standard of care provided by Mr Kim, his surgical team and the staff at Spire Hospital Manchester. My need for a hip replacement was complicated by the presence of metalwork from a previous femur fracture. Mr Kim suggested that despite this additional complication a combined surgical removal of the metalwork and fitting a replacement hip was a possible approach. Following a full review of the risks and benefits this was my preferred option and thanks to the expert skills of Mr Kim and his team this combined operation was successfully carried out. Thereafter the continuing support of Mr Kim, the specialist nursing staff, physiotherapy and other members of the Spire team combined to facilitate the recovery and rehab process providing me with a fully functioning pain-free hip.
