I first met Mr Petrik at a special consultation he set up out side of his routine clinic to review my condition. He made MRI images available to me so I could understand the issue and the complexity of the spinal cord surgery facing me. He explained best case and worst case outcomes of that surgery, so I was expecting at least a numb leg. Mr Petrik spent four hours in theatre removing a schwanomma and thanks to his skill I have not lost any feeling or ability in my legs and of course I am now free of my original painful condition. During an eight day confinement at the QEHB Mr Petrik would come to my bedside daily to discuss my progress, he allways made time to listen and answer my questions. Mr Petrik even saw my wife in a corridor where upon he made time to put her at ease and answer her questions. In all I have had a very positive experience at The QEHB thanks in part to the dedication of the nursing staff and in no small part to the knowledge, skill and caring of my surgeon Mr Vladimir Petrik. A very big thank you Vladimir.
