My GP referred me to Mr Petrik at the QE Hospital. At all times Mr. Petrik listened to my symptoms and after an examination explained that an operation would be the best option and what it would entail. My operation was undertaken in July where I underwent a Right L4/5 fenestration, right direct, left cross-over decompression, microdiscectomy. I was in hospital overnight and received excellent care in the short stay unit. Mr Petrik was informative at all times and came to see me before I was discharged to reassure me that the operation had gone well and to ensure that a physiotherapist would attend prior to discharge. I was referred for physio at my local hospital and have made a full recovery and since been discharged by Mr Petrik. I can honestly say I was totally satisfied with the care received from Mr Petrik, the staff in the short stay unit at the QE and my physiotherapy at Solihull.
