The operation, performed by Mr. Patel, was to re-attach three tendons in my right shoulder. This proceeded exactly as explained to me. The whole experience from first appointment to sign-off was efficient and reassuring. The LifeBox App was very helpful, taking me through the stages of the repair and recovery. As an engineer I was interested to know how the reattachment was achieved and Mr Patel explained the technical details of my particular operation. Well done, I am now back doing my usual physical activities and hope to start sailing again soon..
If I were to suggest an improvement it would be pre-operation familiarisation with the support sling worn afterwards, for six weeks in my case.
