Mr Arzoglou listened to my concerns and goals and gave very clear options on treatment including non- surgical options. He outlined the risks and benefits of all approaches and allowed me to make my choice. He was clear about the aims of the surgical treatment I opted for and sent a very clear letter outlining risk and benefit in detail. On the day of surgery he checked if I had further questions and gave the option, even at that stage, of declining to consent if I wished to. Post surgery I was reassured by the checks carried out and by my final post- operative clinic review and advice.
