Being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer last year was an almighty shock to myself and my wife Lucille. After a series of hospital appointments, blood tests, and several meetings with lovely and caring nurses, we met Mr Patel who was to carry out the keyhole surgery. He was both friendly and reassuring. He explained in great detail what the whole procedure would entail. Both Lucille and I were very much heartened. After the totally painless surgery, Mr Patel phoned my wife to tell her that all was well, and she could visit me in hospital. I spent five days in the hospital ward. Mr Patel came to see me every day until he decided it was safe for me to go home. I have nothing but praise for both him and the wonderful nurses in the ward.
