I went to see Professor Kochhar after seeing another surgeon who seemed quick to whip me into theatre. He listened to what had happened with me, suggested we check what was going on with an MRI and then took time to explain to me exactly what the MRI showed. He recommended physiotherapy initially and gave this time to work. When it did not fix the problem we discussed surgery which I have just had. I felt comfortable with this plan as he had explained clearly to me what was going on and gave me options which I then decided between. I'm only 8 weeks post-op but I have near full movement in my shoulder already and the operation was relatively easy as he did it under local anaesthetic. Overall a great surgeon and a great experience.
