I met Mr Matthews at UH Wales early in 2013 after having a fall injuring both shoulders and tearing through my rotate cuff. I had several appointments with Mr Matthews , both pre / post op . During these appointments Mr Matthews was very easy to speak to regarding my condition , was extremely polite , and explained clearly and concisely, the injury I had sustained , what treatment was required , and how he would repair my injuries . I found Mr Matthews to be a very competent consultant / surgeon , and professional at all times, whilst instilling in me ( a nervous wreck ) every confidence .
