For me, the most important thing about Mr Kane is that I felt he is on my side, doing what he does for me, the patient. All of our discussions and his actions focussed on what the best treatment was for me, from initial consultation through to my post op follow up. He gave me all the time I needed to discuss my condition, listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions - no matter how difficult or repetative they were. He gave me the time and space I needed to consider all the options. He spoke with me as an equal so that I was well informed and able to make the best decision for me. On the day of my hip replacement, I had the utmost confidence that a total hip replacement was the best course of action for me. I also had the utmost confidence in Mr Kane. His manner was calm and reassuring and when he checked that I was ready to go ahead, I was. Mr Kane is a true professional with excellent communication and clinical skills. I am now pain free and more active than I have been for a long time. Seven months after my operation, it feels like a little magic has been performed. Thank you.
