A few weeks ago I was referred by my GP to Mr Satyadas at the BMI Alexandra Hospital. This was due to my having been diagnosed with gall stones which had caused me to suffer pancreatitis, hospitalising me in my local hospital in March 2018, and subsequently several very painful bouts of biliary colic, some of which necessitated emergency visits to my local A & E department. On meeting Mr Satyadas I was immediately impressed by his professional, calm manner. He explained clearly the condition from which I was suffering, that I needed to have my gall bladder removed, and his approach to dealing with it. I was completely at ease with him. He immediately made arrangements for the necessary tests and scans, all of which took place during the next two days (as an outpatient). Two weeks later I met with him again. He clearly explained the results, and said he wanted to operate on me the following week. One week later I attended the Alexandra Hospital for my pre-op assessment, and he carried out the operation two days after that. Shortly after completing the operation he phoned my partner to let her know that it had gone well; she found that very reassuring and considerate. Later that day he came to see me and again explained that everything had gone well. I spent that night at the Alexandra Hospital and went home the next day, having once again been visited by Mr Satyadas who gave me some detail of the operation and my previous condition. A follow-up meeting with him took place a month or so later in which he expressed his satisfaction that my wounds had healed well. Mr Satyadas inspires confidence in his patients. He is very friendly, highly professional in every way and communicates clearly. I highly recommend him.
