Share review of Mr Terence Mugliston
I was an NHS patient presenting with nose-breathing difficulties. There was a single examination, which was brief, under a minute, before mister mugliston agreed to operate.
The negative consequences have been substantial; my ability to breathe through my nose has been irreparably impaired.
The after care was faultless. However, my capacity to judge if this was a good decision was massively impeded by my mental well-being at the time.
While it was not Mr Mugliston’s responsibility to manage my emotional state, as an informed, and no doubt skilful practitioner, I wish more signs had been picked up that I was not in a condition to make a clearly informed choice about the surgery.
A really disastrous decision that has cost me lot and caused me tremendous mental anguish.
