Mt Jeddy saw me three weeks in consultation before the date of the surgery for inguinal groin hernia. He explained everything about the procedure to me clearly and I felt assured after the consultation. Arriving on the day of the procedure, I was shown to my private room by a nurse. My partner was with me. I was anxious about the surgery but the staff helped me to feel relaxed. I got changed into the gown and had a cup of tea. The room was comfortable and had a bathroom and a TV. About 40 mins before surgery, Mr Jeddy visited me and made a mark where the incision was to be made and reassured me about the procedure as did the anaesthetist who visited me a little later. Around 2.30 I was taken in the bed to the theatre by staff. They were very committed to the ethos of the hospital as were all the staff I met. Before I knew it, I was back in the room where I stayed for about two hours before being discharged after resting, with staff regularly popping in to check on me. I have had no problems at all since the surgery. It was an all round very good experience and I would highly recommend The Nuffield hospital, Mr Jeddy and the medical and support staff.
