I was a bit apprehensive at first prior to having my stapedotomy (ear surgery), as I heard that there were risks involved.
I had to wear hearing aids to start of with, which proved to be uncomfortable at times
However, after attending an appointment with my consultant, it really boosted my confidence.
I can say that having the surgery was the best option I could have considered.
I would say to anyone that is nervous in having the surgery to consider the option, yes there are risks but these are small.
I had the surgery and it has really made a difference to my life and improved my hearing significantly.
